The Poke-Plug

My name is Greg, and I’m the Gym Leader (founder) of The Poké-Plug.Like a lot of trainers, my path here has had some rough routes and some smooth ones—more smooth lately, thankfully. I started in 2015 running a drop-shipping business. By 2017 I was frustrated with how my manufacturer was treating me as a client, so I decided to build my own manufacturing company instead. We grew it to a collective valuation of $4.3 million, and when the right moment came, I sold it and moved into something I’d always been more passionate about: real estate.I actually bought my first house in 2018 (right before selling the manufacturing business), and even then I could see the real estate world had some of the same problems I’d dealt with in manufacturing—slow communication, lack of transparency, people getting the short end of the deal. I remember thinking, “If I ever get into this industry, I want to do it differently.”In 2023 I got my real estate license and set out to make good on that promise in NEO. Since then I’ve closed over 100 houses with 5-star reviews across the board. Looking back in 2026, I’m proud that the people I’ve worked with feel like they were treated fairly and got real help.More recently I got back into collecting Pokémon cards—the first time since I was a kid in 1999—and I ran into the same kinds of issues that used to frustrate me in other industries: scalpers, inflated prices, and collectors getting priced out or left behind. With everything I’ve learned from manufacturing supply chains, drop-shipping logistics, and now real estate negotiations, I realized I might actually be able to help fix some of that.So that’s why I started The Poké-Plug: to give regular collectors like me a fair shot—no more getting outbid by bots or paying crazy markups just to open a pack or chase a chase card. I don’t know yet if it’ll work out the way I hope, but I’m excited to try. The journey’s half the fun anyway.Looking forward to seeing where this next route takes us.
